Privacy policy

NutriTelli helps you see which nutrients your food covers. To do that, it needs to know some things about you and what you eat. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control of it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored by our database provider in hashed form, never in plain text.
- Profile: your name, date of birth, height, weight, activity level, and, if you choose to share them, a reference sex and life stage (such as pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a due date). We use these only to set your nutrient targets.
- What you log: foods, amounts, meals, water, dates, and any custom nutrient targets you set.
- Feedback you send: your message, plus the app version and phone platform so we can reproduce problems.
- Waitlist sign-ups: your email and phone type, used only to send you an invite.
What stays on your phone
The app keeps a copy of your last 30 days of logs on your phone so it works quickly and offline. Your coach focus, insight history and suggestion history are also stored only on your phone.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools. We share only what’s needed to run the app:
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in.
- Edamam receives food searches and, when you choose to analyze one, a meal photo, so it can return nutrient values. We don’t store your photos.
- USDA FoodData Central receives food searches for nutrient data.
- Open Food Facts receives barcodes and product searches directly from your phone.
Searches and photos are sent without your name or email.
Your choices
- Export: in Settings, you can export everything you’ve logged as a file.
- Delete: in Settings, you can delete your account. This removes your profile, logs, targets and feedback from our servers and clears the app’s data on your phone.
- Leave the waitlist: email us and we’ll remove your address.
Health information
NutriTelli gives general nutrition information, not medical advice. Your targets come from published dietary reference intakes, and a low number means your logged food didn’t reach a target, not that you have a deficiency.
Children
NutriTelli isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Questions or requests: support@nutritelli.com.
